Abstract

Seaver Leslie, who in the 1970s founded the anti-metric group Americans for Customary Weights and Measures, is now spearheading a national campaign based in Wiscasset to repeal a federal law requiring metric conversion. The organization, called Miles Ahead, has published a pamphlet entitled "Why America Should NOT Go Metric."
