Abstract

Ron Huber, head of the Coastal Waters Project, is trying to establish a national marine sanctuary between Popham Beach and Port Clyde, but is encountering opposition from fishermen. Associated Fisheries of Maine President Jim Warren, who attended a meeting Huber held with fishermen in Boothbay Harbor, says that sanctuary regulators would have ultimate control over the sanctuary, and not fishermen as Huber maintains.
