Abstract
"News & Issues" piece on a legislative bill sponsored by Rep. Scott Cowger, D-Hallowell, that would authorize the Department of Environmental Protection to adopt rules governing the siting of underground oil tanks. The tanks could be restricted from sensitive geologic sites such as aquifers and areas located near public and private drinking water supplies.
