Abstract
"Books & the Arts" piece profiling wildfowl carver Ed Beach, 72, of Readfield. Beach has had no formal training. He didn't even begin to carve until 1984. But his 37-year career in the Maine Park Service provided opportunities that he believes contributed to his ability. His work is exhibited at galleries in Camden and Lincolnville Beach, as well as at various shows and festivals.
