Abstract

"News & Issues" piece on the Trenton Grange, which has a membership of 37, but a reputation for getting things done. The Hancock County unit has been designated an "Action Grange," the only one in Maine selected by the national organization to lead Grange into a new era. Trenton will join 114 others from around the nation in developing new strategies, services and programming to revitalize the 125-year-old organization. Maine's Grange membership is about 8,000, down from a high of over 60,000 in the 1920s.
