"News & Issues" piece on a 180-mile-long jet fuel pipeline from Bangor to Limest
"News & Issues" piece on a 180-mile-long jet fuel pipeline from Bangor to Limestone currently owned by the U.S. military. Brian Hamel, director of the Loring Development Authority (LDA), confirmed last week that LDA will acquire the 50-year-old pipeline, most likely for resale to a private firm. Federal regulations prohibit the government from selling the pipeline directly into private hands. LDA purchased Loring Air Force Base in Limestone after it closed in 1994.
