Abstract
"News" piece on a national 3-hour-long boycott of energy planned by critics of President Bush's rejection of the Kyoto Protocol on global warming, and his interest in drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Though stories about the proposed boycott have run in The New York Times and Washington Post, Steve Desmond of Bangor Hydro and Phil Lindley of Maine's Public Utilities Commission said they had no knowledge of it.
