Abstract

"News" piece on Travis Cowing, a junior at the University of Maine in Orono, a part-time stand-up comedian, and a controversial columnist for Maine Campus, UMaine's student newspaper. A recent Cowing column about slutty women has roiled students and faculty, starting an argument over whether it's appropriate to censor gratuitously offensive writing.
