Abstract

Although each dairy in Maine has promised not to knowingly receive, process or distribute any milk from dairy cows treated with bovine growth hormone, also known as BST, nationally distributed products sold in the state may or may not be free of the hormone. Shaw's and Shop 'n Save supermarkets have said they will not label their dairy products, despite customer concerns. Details.
