"News" piece on 436 radiation detectors that the Maine Emergency Management Agency is preparing to distribute across the state in response to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The detectors were originally purchased for use by communities near the Maine Yankee plant in Wiscasset but now can be used by fire departments and law enforcement agencies to check for radiological evidence of a terrorist attack.
