Abstract

Shaw's and Shop 'n Save have said that liquid milk sold in their stores will be free of BGH, the synthetic bovine growth hormone that increases milk production in cows by 20 percent. But other store-brand dairy products, such as yogurt, cheese and butter, could contain the synthetic hormone because they are produced outside of Maine. Details.
