Charles Lawton of York, the third partner in the Kirsten Scarcelli chain of stores, has filed for bankruptcy, nearly one year after Scarcelli and her husband sought protection from creditors. Lawton listed asset of $111,708 and liabilities of $2.1 million, with the debt tied to Kirsten Scarcelli LLC. Kirsten Scarcelli has opened a second-story studio on Congress Street in Portland, and is working by herself and designing and working with clients.
