Sunday River Ski Corporation last week purchased 7,000 acres in Riley Township from International Paper, with the remainder of the 15,000-acre township going to Hancock Timber Resource Group, a unit of John Hancock Financial Services of Boston. Sunday River had wanted to purchase all of the township so it could develop a year-round resort that would include a 250-acre man-made lake. Details.
