Abstract

A group opposed to Canadian Pacific plans to abandon the rail link from Montreal, Quebec to St. John, New Brunswick met in Greenville last week to discuss strategies. Canadian Pacific officials say the line, which includes a 200-mile stretch running from Jackman to Vanceboro in Maine, has been losing between $13 million and $22 million a year for the past four years.
