Abstract

State representative William Lemke, D-Westbrook, last week outlined for members of Parents Against Tired Truckers a bill he plans to introduce in the Legislature in January to tighten the state's laws relating to tired truck drivers. The PATT meeting, which was held in Yarmouth and attended by state legislators and representatives of Maine's congressional delegation, occurred only days after Karen Lee Pfost of Michigan drove her tanker truck into a line of cars on route 1 in York after apparently falling asleep at the wheel.
