Abstract

The Maine Alliance, a business lobbying group and successor to the Environmental and Economic Council of Maine, has proposed a new Commission on Sustainable Development to coordinate and approve regional and local plans that discourage sprawl and protect natural resources. The commission would be part of a comprehensive regulatory reform package.
