Abstract
Gubernatorial candidates Joseph Brennan, Susan Collins and Angus King all have full-time paid staff and campaign offices, and that they expect to spend well over $1 million each on their campaigns. Green Party candidate Jonathan Carter, who has no paid staff and no office, plans to spend no more than $100,000 on his campaign and will purchase no television ads, leading some to wonder if the party is serious about winning the election.
