Abstract

The Legislature's Housing and Economic Development Committee voted unanimously to back the first two years of a five-year, $20 million state plan to attract tourists to Maine. The plan calls for a coordinated marketing, research and planning program that is projected to bring 1.85 million more visitors to Maine by 1998.
