Abstract

Dozens of aquaculture salmon that escaped from pens in Canada have appeared in Maine rivers, raising fears that they might contaminate the genetic stock of the state's wild salmon. Twenty-five of the aquaculture salmon were caught in a biologist's weir on the Dennys River, compared to just three wild fish. Details.
