Abstract

Sustainable Maine, an offshoot of the Maine Economic Conversion Project, sent questionnaires to the state's political candidates, asking them if they supported developing policy based on the principles of sustainability. Gubernatorial candidates Joseph Brennan, a Democratic, and independent Jonathan Carter both took the sustainability pledge. Sustainable Maine says the candidate questionnaire was purely informational, and has no plans to endorse any candidates. Details.
