Abstract

The Maine Community AIDS Partnership has released "Maine: A Report on HIV/AIDS Needs," which identifies dental care as the top unmet need of people with HIV/AIDS in the state. The report is the result of a survey of 140 Maine people with HIV/AIDS, and 31.4 percent of those surveyed had inadequate access to dental care. Bangor dentist Randon Bragdon is currently being sued by the Boston-based Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders in two cases in which he refused treatment to a person with AIDS.
