Abstract

The board of directors of the Portland Public Library has scheduled six neighborhood meetings as part of its ongoing planning process, following a commitment made in May to a year-long, open, community-based planning process. Some members of the West End Neighborhood Association are saying the meetings are insufficient, and WENA is working to ensure that the scheduled meetings are only the beginning of the community-based planning process and not its sum total.
