Children Find Lunch Waiting for them at Volunteers of America.
Anticipation and faith are written all over the faces of these youngsters gathered in the tiny auditorium of the Volunteers of America's headquarters, at 115 Pearl Street. They've just come home from school and are waiting for their daily lunch of cocoa or milk, rolls (and sometimes cake or cookies). It may be their first meal of the day.
