Abstract
A description of a performance of traditional music and dance from Guinea Bissau that was held at Cathedral Guild Hall in Portland. The event was hosted by Maria Cushing and members of the Women's Federation for World Peace USA and was a fundraising event for an ill member of Maine's Portuguese-speaking immigrant community. The performers were Djidji di Malaika and Neia Baptista, familiar faces at Cape Verde and Guinea Bissau diaspora events.
