Abstract
A brief introduction to the Suuq, a farmstand/market run by Liberation Farms in Wales. Describes how the Suuq was developed through the efforts of members of the Somali Bantu community after a feasibility study by farm intern and Bowdoin graduate Holden Turner. Discusses the present and projected value of the Suuq to community members, such as co-manager Maryan Mohamed, and the greater community of Maine.
