Abstract

Some ideas for the new year from Allison Turrell, who advocates starting a Riot Grrrls chapter in Portland; Portland schools Curriculum Director Bill Doughty, who would like to see school funding apportioned according to need; Polly Campbell of the Family Crisis Shelter, who wants to see the creation of staffed visitation centers; and Beth Nagusky of the Natural Resources Council of Maine, who believes now is the time to institute pay-at-the-pump automobile insurance.
