Abstract

"Essay" piece by Christopher Barry, on the opening game of the Portland Mountain Cats, the city's new professional basketball team. The author writes that Mark McClure, president and general manager of the Mountain Cats, will have to entertain the crowd during the team's May 26 game. Barry and McClure had a bet on the number of people who would attend the opening game, and McClure lost.
