Abstract

"Byte ME" piece on Internet access in Maine. Maine has gone from just one Internet service to a dozen or so in just two years, and most exchanges in the state now offers local Internet dial-up. Public libraries have done a good job providing services, and Nynex's commitment to wiring all the state's schools and libraries will help build a bridge between the disadvantaged and the Internet.
