Abstract

"Politics and Other Mistakes" piece predicting the Democrats will be unable to maintain their legislative majorities in both the House and the Senate because of Tom Connolly being at the top of party ticket. On the other hand, Republicans are seen as unlike to take control of the Senate because of the small number of them running for Senate seats in in the upcoming elections. Also mentioned is a facetious bill introduced to the House by state Representative Richard Thompson of Naples; a humorous typographical error in a press release by State Treasurer Dale McCormick; and a legislative loophole for former state Representative Annette Hoglund regarding a bingo reform bill.
