Abstract

"Sportland" piece on Greater Portland's newest ice-skating venue, Twombly Pond, at the new Family Ice Center in Falmouth. The pond has 16,000 square-feet of lighted skating area and is refrigerated by the same underground system that chills Family Ice's indoor hockey rink, and is smoothed by the same $53,000 Zamboni resurfacer.
