Abstract

"City" piece on an announcement by Mark Adelson, Portland's director of housing, that the city will soon issue two requests for developers to submit proposals to build 40 to 80 units of new housing, most with rents within the reach of working families. The best proposals will be eligible for financial assistance, with money coming from a $600,000 federal grant. The requests are tentatively scheduled to go public on May 17 and Dec. 13.
