Lael Morgan writes about those who populate Portland's night, focusing on Bobby Giampetruzzi, who is in charge of the city's night time street sweeping operations; Ben Noyes on night patrol for the Portland Police Department; clerks and frequenters of the Big Apple Store on Washinton Avenue; Cindy Harmon who fills Portland Press Herald vending boxes; Jason Ingalls, the man in charge of Kinko's on Congress Street; Stephen Wood, a muisician, who is also head auditor at the Holiday Inn by the Bay on Spring Street; Mike Night, the night manager of Denny's on Congress Street; Ken Kendrick, night custodian and gardner at the U.S. Federal Courthouse on Federal Street; Leo Caouette, night shift worker at theRide Aid pharmacy on Congress Street; Peppe Germani, a cook at Corsetti's on Brighton Avenue; and Becky Rand, the owner of Becky's restaurant on Commercial Street.
