Abstract

"Short Cuts" piece on the Boston-based pop-punk band Wide Iris, which is being presented at the Better End in Portland. Jan. 29; jazz musician Sam Sherry and his six piece ensembele of Mainers and New Yorkers called Ursa Major, which is being presented at the Allen Avenue Unitiarian Universalist Church in Portland Jan. 29; and "Buy Guns, Eat Meat, Wear Fur," a new compact disc being released by the Portland-area metal quartet Broken Clown.
