Abstract

"Essay" piece by Bill Linnell, a member of the advocacy group Cheaper, Safer Power, arguing that the so-called "spent-fuel" that is being stored at the decommissioned Maine Yankee nuclear plant site in Wiscasset are at their peak in terms of radioactivity and that, in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the Maine Yankee site is potential disaster waiting to happen.
