Abstract

Cheryl Lowell, the Westbrook school bus driver charged with felony operating under the influence and 21 counts of child endangerment, will plead guilty May 30 to one count of drunk driving and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Lowell will receive a sentence of no more than 30 days in jail and one year of probation. Lowell still has physical and psychological problems and has been hospitalized several times since the August 30, 1994, incident, during which drove her bus and its 21 passengers off her regular route.
