Abstract

Around 50 cars, powered either by the sun or electicity stored in batteries, on May 22 took off from Waterbury, Connecticut, on the first leg of the Tour De Sol. The Tour will finish tomorrow in Portland, and many of the participating teams are from colleges, high schools and even grade schools. The Falmouth High School team, under the direction of teacher Spike Herrick, has entered a 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit, renamed the Electric hare. Details.
