Abstract

Profile of painter Mark Wethli, 52, of Bowdoin, who has recently changed his style from his famous "room paintings" to abstract works. Wethli came to Maine in 1985 to head the studio art program at Bowdoin College in Brunswick. His work is now held in the collections of the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland and the Portland Museum of Art in Portland.
