Abstract

"Inside Maine" piece about Peter Talmage and the Astronomical Society of Northern New England (ASNNE), of which he is president. Talmage a dozen other members of ASNNE meet in the middle of each month for "star parties," get togethers during which the club's two telescopes are pointed toward the heavens and the most interesting sights of the particular season are discussed. The meetings are held at either Talmage's own East Sky Observatory in Kennebunkport or atop Mount Agamenticus.
