Abstract
"Along the Waterfront" piece about the "Archipelago Solo," designed by Jean Marie Finot, of Paris, France, and built for Jean Pierre Mouligne, of Newport, R. I., at North End Composites in Rockland, which was purchased about a year ago by Sabre Yachts, of Casco. The boat, built completely of carbon-fiber composites, using the SCIMP patented resin infusion process to insure minimum weight and maximum strength, will be fitted out for next year's Quebec-St. Milo Transatlantic Race and subsequent deepwater competitions leading up to the 1998-99 BOC Challenge single-handed race around the world. With brief mentions of other projects being bid or worked on by NorthEnd Composites.
