Abstract

"Inside Maine" piece on Smiling Hill Farm in Westbrook, a 400-acre operation that in the past year has added a petting zoo, a cafe, a farm store, and bottled milk to its dairy operations, as well as opening more than twenty-five kilometers of cross-country ski trails. Owner Sally Knight said the inaugural season went very well, and the trails are used by weekend skiers, children, and the Nordic ski teams from several local high schools.
