Abstract

"North by East" piece reporting that chefs Jerry Clare, of the Belmont Hotel in Camden, Sam Hayword, owner of the Fore Street Restaurant in Portland, and Jasper White, executive chef at Boston's Legal Seafood, wowed a sold out crowed of gourmands in New York City with lobster like none of them had ever seen before. The event was held at James Beard House, home of the late food writer James Beard, which is now the center of culinary innovation and fine cooking.
