Abstract

"Along the Waterfront" piece on Ken Rich, 62, who has stepped down as harbormaster at Rockland after six years that have witnessed the transformation of the harbor from a grimy fishing port to a mixed-use marine center attracting a growing fleet of yachts. Rich downplays his role in turning the waterfront around, but under is tenure, the number of moorings rose from 80 to 420.
