Abstract

"Along the Waterfront" piece on Charles Legris of Lubec, who builds houses and repairs wooden fishing vessels, and now has taken to building dories. After finding an old banks dory in a snowbank in Jonesport a couple of years ago, Legris purchased the craft, and fixed it up. He was so pleased with the dory's easy handling and seaworthiness, he decided to start building them for others.
