Abstract

"North by East" piece on Mount Pleasant Cemetery in South Portland, where some of the city's earliest families are buried, as well as three dogs, including Spot, a part-Dalmatian, whose owner, Benjamin Willard, taught him to do more than 50 tricks. Spot's grave is marked by a white marble stone that shows him balancing on a ball.
