Abstract

Portland architect Stephen Blatt designed a house overlooking Quahog Bay in Harpswell that nestles so close to the ledge that from the road you can see over the low, copper-roofed top to the water beyond. The owners, Robert and Marta Frank of Boston, hope to retire here someday. The house is filled filled with natural materials, subdued furniture, and little clutter.
