Abstract

Maine's most recent law requiring wine and specialty shops to hang curtains so children won't see wine tastings is the latest in a line of questionable rules governing Maine's wine industry. Maine is now home to 16 wineries, most of which agree Maine's liquor laws need a comprehensive overhaul. Title 28A, the law that governs alcohol in Maine, is where the problems begin. With details on how the rules create obstacles for Maine's wine producers, sellers, and consumers.
