Abstract

"The Talk of Maine" piece on the nearly two year, $75 million expansion of the Portland International Jetport's terminal that is scheduled to reopen in October. The expansion has doubled the size of the terminal, will improve the crowded arrival/departure and baggage security areas, and intentionally incorporates materials on the interior and exterior of the structure that reflect its Maine location. With details about the history of the airport, its transition to a "jetport", and the funding of the expansion.
