Abstract

The last day of the blueberry harvest for Jasper Wyman & Son., Inc. in Cherryfield and Deblois is also the day of the final game of the Wyman's Cup. The soccer matches pit migrant farm workers from Mexico, Honduras, and the U.S against each other on a soccer field set in the middle of a migrant housing compound which, in turn, is set just across Route 193 from 500 acres of wild blueberry fields. The tournament has become as much a cultural event as a sporting one.
