Abstract

"Talk of Maine" piece about the oil-fired electric power plant on Yarmouth's Cousins Island. Wyman Station, which is owned by NextEra Energy Resources, was put on the market in the spring. Its future remains uncertain as stakeholders consider alternatives to fossil fuels. Yarmouth officials have tried to work with NextEra to plan an exit strategy, but the company has been unresponsive to date.
