Abstract

“What’s in a Picture” piece shows a photograph of Kennett Rawson and Joseph Field, two of three teenage members of the crew of the Bowdoin in 1926. The crew’s mission was to study potential Norse ruins in Greenland and Labrador and to collect specimens for the Field Museum of Natural History of Chicago.
